Thirty Years. One Path.

Sage

The story behind Sage Training, told in the Sage's own words. No certification precedes this. Thirty years of practice does.

Origin

Where This Began

My father put a barbell in my hands before I understood what it was for. That was the gateway. What came after was mine alone.

I grew up watching the nineties sell a body. Magazine covers, movie posters, the old Greek proportions dressed up as a trend. I was drawn to it the way anyone is drawn to something beautiful. But I watched people close to me age past their youth and lose to it, not to time, to bad information. Weight they couldn't carry. Health they couldn't recover.

I built my own method from people who had already proven theirs: Jack LaLanne's relentlessness, Arnold Schwarzenegger's discipline in the gym, and later, B.K.S. Iyengar's discipline in the body itself: flexibility and breath as their own kind of strength. From them I took the three pillars of longevity, flexibility, strength, and I stopped believing what I'd been told about food.

I removed the lies. I trusted the direction. Three months later I had the shape I'd been chasing, not because I was different from anyone else, but because I wasn't. It took honesty. It took persistence. It took discipline. Nothing else.

The look was never the point. It was the proof.

The Framework

The Pillars, Entwined

Body. Mind. Spirit. Will. Most people train one and assume the rest follow. They don't.

The body does not develop alone, and the will does not exist on its own either. You have to subject your mind to ideas that aren't common: how the food around you is built, what it's actually doing to you, what you're absorbing without knowing it. As the body strengthens, you feel that strength move into the mind and the spirit. It doesn't stay contained.

Command the body, and you find something on the other side of that command: a freedom from the limits you'd been told were permanent. I can't explain that part. It has to be felt.

The Practice

What Others Have Reclaimed

Most people who come to me carry the same weight, literally. Many over 250 pounds, most carrying decades of bad information along with it. Few hit their goal in three months. Most didn't need to. What mattered was the habit that outlasted the goal.

What I build toward: posture that holds itself. Strength that doesn't have to be thought about. A deeper breath. Stairs that stop being an event. I've watched flexibility return to people decades past when they'd written it off, and I've watched grown men and women realize their limits were never physical to begin with.

One woman came to me on her way to early-onset diabetes and morbid obesity. The damage had been accumulating quietly for years. She couldn't break parallel on a squat, couldn't bend her knees past it once. We removed what she thought she knew about health, replaced it with what was true, and the weight came off fast. What stayed was the strength underneath it. She squats loaded now. What we built together didn't just add years to her life. It gave the years back their shape.

Others come for something more classical: real muscle depth, a lean and balanced physique built the golden-era way, not the six-pack alone but everything underneath it: the endurance, the flexibility, the proportion. The shredded look isn't vanity here. It's what the discipline looks like on the outside. Every one of them is welcome to it. It's the proof, not the goal.

I don't coach from the sideline. When you squat, I squat. When you run, I run. When you eat clean, I eat clean. When you cut calories, you're not doing it alone. I am too. This is a shared effort toward a shared standard, and the people who reach it go on to help the next person reach it.

Twenty is young. Thirty is young. Forty is young. Fifty is young. I've watched every one of those ages come back to life.

The Proof

Thirty Years, Proven in the Body

I hold no certification, because none was built for what this actually is. The proof is standing in front of you.

Thirty years of the same disciplines, held to without exception. Thirty-plus individuals trained across every age this method claims to serve. What I teach today is what LaLanne, Schwarzenegger, and Iyengar taught me, refined, tested, and lived daily rather than studied once.

I move the way I moved twenty years ago. I hike and bike for hours without asking my body for permission. I'm light on my feet, flexible past what my age is supposed to allow, and I heal fast when I push too hard. None of that is luck. It's thirty years of practicing exactly what I ask of you.

That's the only credential that was ever going to matter here.
